Its not how you start - Its how you finish that counts - We do not just float into heaven - Don’t believe the lie

Today at Holy Mass we hear in the Gospel of St Matthew something very interesting…It shows us how God views the world very differently than we do….”For he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good, and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust”…..We see things in very tangible ways……God is outside of time…He has a different view…The goal of every life is to be sanctified….So when the time comes to stand before God, we are the same way we came into the world…Innocent - Like a child…..“Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever receives one child such as this in my name receives me”…This is why God allows "the sun to rise on the bad and the good, and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust”…..The goal of life is to strive to become holy - We unfortunately do not see it that way…..Everything that happens in our life is ordered to work towards that goal - We again do not see it that way.......Life goes by fast and God is forever patient - Until we take our last breath - Then the “book closes”…......We MUST cooperate with God to become the people we were ALL born to be…That is why he gave us a Church and that is why we have the Sacraments - Without Sacramental grace…Our weak human flesh will NEVER achieve what was intended for the human race - To once again become childlike….To be so sophisticated that we become innocent again…..We “miss the mark” because we evaluate our life by the wrong score card……”For he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good, and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust”…Before you “win the game” - You have to understand how the game is played
