Today at Holy Mass we are reminded that sin is very real and that we are ALL sinners….................”Brothers and sisters: We hold this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing power may be of God and not from us. We are afflicted in every way, but not constrained; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the Body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our body”…..To deny this reality is to deny the human condition…This is why Christ came to us and walked the earth….To liberate us from our sins…Our world today does not believe in sin anymore….However, the consequences of “what we do not believe” can be seen very clearly…….We rationalize away objective mortal sins and call them “normal”…We tell our self….....”That is just the way it is”…..Unfortunately - That does not and will not fly!….And not because God is some kind of ogre - Its because God has given us a vehicle to elevate our human condition….He gave us the Sacraments of the Catholic Church…..To not utilize these gifts puts a person at a great disadvantage in life…..What prevents us from giving our sins to the Lord in the Sacrament of Reconciliation?…..We must overcome any and all obstacles that get in the way.....Grace by definition elevates our human nature and strengthens our will….As St Paul rightfully tells us….”So death is at work in us, but life in you”

”For when I am weak, then I am strong”
“Everything indeed is for you, so that the grace bestowed in abundance on more and more people may cause the thanksgiving to overflow for the glory of God”
There is nothing wrong with saying these words…”Bless me Father for I have sinned”….Speaking personally, I say them twice a month to a Priest…”For when I am weak, then I am strong”
