“We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are.”

“How far that little candle throws his beams! So shines a good deed in a weary world.” ― William Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice

Gospel Text: (MT 5:13-16)
Jesus said to his disciples:
"You are the salt of the earth.
But if salt loses its taste, with what can it be seasoned?
It is no longer good for anything
but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
You are the light of the world.
A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.
Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket;
it is set on a lampstand,
where it gives light to all in the house.
Just so, your light must shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds
and glorify your heavenly Father."

Like the moon, you are not the source of light.  You only reflect the light.  God wants to shine through you and He wants you to reflect His light.  If you are open to this, He will move the clouds at the right time so as to use you in the way He has chosen.  Your responsibility is to simply be open.
