“Real transformation requires real honesty. If you want to move forward – get real with yourself.”

“I know this transformation is painful, but you’re not falling into something different, with a new capacity to be beautiful.” William C. Hannan: (American Author)

Gospel Text: (MT 5:43-48)
Jesus said to his disciples:
"You have heard that it was said,
You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.
But I say to you, love your enemies
and pray for those who persecute you,
that you may be children of your heavenly Father,
for he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good,
and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust.
For if you love those who love you, what recompense will you have?
Do not the tax collectors do the same?
And if you greet your brothers only,
what is unusual about that?
Do not the pagans do the same?
So be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect."

Love is what brings us to perfection – perfect as your father in heaven is perfect.  Love is what calls us to be whole – to grow into the person that God is calling us to be – one with Him, one as Brothers and Sisters of Christ, one with the very Spirit of God within us – can we trust this to show us how to love – even our enemies?  Do we dare to open ourselves to feel God’s love and trust that love to transform us?
