“If you would convince a man that he does wrong, do right. But do not care to convince him. Men will believe what they see. Let them see.” ― Henry David Thoreau: (1817 – 1862: was an American essayist, poet, and philosopher.)
Gospel Text: (LK 8:16-18)
Jesus said to the crowd:
“No one who lights a lamp conceals it with a vessel
or sets it under a bed;
rather, he places it on a lampstand
so that those who enter may see the light.
For there is nothing hidden that will not become visible,
and nothing secret that will not be known and come to light.
Take care, then, how you hear.
To anyone who has, more will be given,
and from the one who has not,
even what he seems to have will be taken away.”

What can I do with this day I have been given? Today, how do I carry the light of my baptism? How do I share it with others? Who will I encounter in my life today who needs to see the light of my Christian love shining? What kind of example do I set for others in my community?
Jesus shows us the light and asks us to carry that light and love to those around us.
