“When we keep our eyes on God, stand firm in the Sacramental life, continue to pray & fast, as well as continue to believe and speak God’s Word, we will see the enemy’s plans for evil work out for the good in time….There is a old saying, “Man plans and God laughs”……For centuries governments, principalities & powers have tried in vain to stamp-out the people of God and have failed…Where is the Roman Empire? – Where is Stalin? – Where is Hitler?…I could go on – all of them tried to eradicate the Catholic Church and FAILED!........Rest assured, this new iteration of secular humanists in America will FAIL too….. If you are on Gods side, then God is on your side. God will fight for you as you fight for Him – Again, history time and time again has proven this maxim to be true – Be confident!”

Gospel Text: (Lk 11:47-54)

The Lord said:
“Woe to you who build the memorials of the prophets
whom your fathers killed.
Consequently, you bear witness and give consent
to the deeds of your ancestors,
for they killed them and you do the building.
Therefore, the wisdom of God said,
‘I will send to them prophets and Apostles;
some of them they will kill and persecute’
in order that this generation might be charged
with the blood of all the prophets
shed since the foundation of the world,
from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah
who died between the altar and the temple building.
Yes, I tell you, this generation will be charged with their blood!
Woe to you, scholars of the law!
You have taken away the key of knowledge.
You yourselves did not enter and you stopped those trying to enter.”
When Jesus left, the scribes and Pharisees
began to act with hostility toward him
and to interrogate him about many things,
for they were plotting to catch him at something he might say.

Reflect, today upon any way that you have seen this misguided tendency within your own life. If you can identify a time when you struggled with hostility toward another, look at the fruit it bore. Was God glorified through your actions? Did this leave you at peace or agitated? Were you fully objective in your thinking? Be honest with these questions and you will begin to discover the road to freedom from such obsessive thinking. God wants you to be at peace. If there is injustice, trust that our Lord will sort it out. You, for your part, must continually work to forgive, act with charity, and direct your attention to the will of God as it is gently presented to you.
